Brush and Bloom

Rooted in Purpose, Blooming Through Service

Creatives in community service — building long-lasting peer connections through art, service, and care for one another.

Grow with us
Why we exist

Every event we host, every conversation we spark, and every initiative we take on is rooted in that belief.

A letter from our founder

When I first imagined creating this organization I was thinking about people — about creating a space where individuals could feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow into their best selves.

I wanted something that blended creativity, connection, and purpose. Something that didn't just bring people together for a moment, but built something lasting.

To every member, supporter, and friend — thank you for being part of this vision. You are what brings this organization to life. We're only just getting started.

With gratitude,
Garden ThomasFounder & President
What we do

Four ways we grow together

Brush and Bloom fosters long-lasting peer connections through the arts, community service, social and engaging activities, and self-care events.

01

The Arts

Paint nights, workshops, and open studios where nobody has to be “good at art” to belong. The brush is just the doorway.

02

Community Service

Hands-on projects across Baltimore — schools, shelters, gardens, and neighbors. We show up where support is actually needed.

03

Social & Engaging

Game nights, cookouts, campus mixers. The low-pressure kind of hangout where a stranger turns into your people.

04

Self-Care

Journaling circles, wellness sessions, and quiet resets. You can't pour from an empty cup — so we refill each other's.

Preparing our legacy

Mini positions — built for freshmen

Every role already held by an upperclassman has a mini position open underneath it. You step in now, learn the job beside the person doing it, and grow into the seat.

Our founding class graduates Spring 2027. Mini positions are how Brush and Bloom keeps blooming after they walk.

Claim a mini position

Open to any interested freshman through midterms — no experience needed.
